Diversity Activities for July
Here are some fun and impactful activities DE&I teams can organize to celebrate this diversity month:
- Draw up a Bingo with 1 free space and 24 words/phrases and host an Independence Day Bingo party! This can include terms people have to be familiar with, situations they may face, or habits they may harbor.
- Get a Gender-Neutral Jar: Imbibe inclusive language at your work by keeping it light. A good example is avoiding using "guys" to address a group; whoever does it has to write their name on a slip of paper and jar it.
- Hang a Snapshots Board! This can include photos of all the employees at different professional events & settings or personal mementos they like bringing to work. It's a launchpad for diverse perspectives, memories, experiences, and many conversations.
