LGBTQIA+ organizations work around the year to ensure that they keep providing much-needed support for the community. 2. Capitol Ballroom Council, Washington DC

The purpose of the council is to organize and mobilize LGBTQIA+ individuals and houses of the House and Ballroom Community by sharing ideas, providing resources, and promoting unity within Washington DC and connecting areas within proximity such as Baltimore, Prince Georges County, Montgomery County, and Northern Virginia.

3. Center for Black Equity, Washington DC

Center for Black Equity aims to build a global network of LGBTQ+ individuals, allies, and community-based organizations dedicated to achieving equality and social justice for Black LGBTQ+ communities through Economic Equity, Health Equity, and Social Equity.

4. LGBT+ Center Orlando Inc., Florida

6. Open Rainbow Residence, New York

Open Rainbow Residence provides single-unit supportive housing options to adult members of the LGBTQ+ community who are runaways, homeless, or aged-out youth. They offer clinical and vocational workshops designed to foster self-esteem, personal empowerment, and the motivation to transition to a life of stability and productivity.

7. Openhouse SF, California

Openhouse works to center the voices and experiences of LGBTQ+ older adults by providing opportunities to make social connections and build community. They are committed to creating a safe environment to encourage and support community members to share diverse perspectives and identities to foster dynamic community engagement.

8. SPoD, Turkey

Social Policy, Gender Identity, and Sexual Orientation Studies Association (SPoD) set out in 2011 with the dream of a fair, equal, and inclusive world under the rainbow. The association aims to contribute to the formulation of social policies necessary for lesbian, gay, bisexual, trans, and intersex (LGBTI+) individuals in Turkey to live free from pressure regarding their gender identity and sexual orientation. 

In addition to its advocacy work for this purpose, SPoD aims to set an example for public institutions by developing service models for LGBTI+ communities, eliminating all forms of discrimination in these areas, and providing services specifically to LGBTI+s in the long term through public and private partnerships.

9. The Ali Forney Center, New York

The Ali Forney Center is committed to saving the lives of LGBTQ+ youth by protecting them from homelessness and empowering them with the tools needed to live independently.

10. Griot Circle

A 25-year-old nonprofit, Griot Circle focuses on supporting the elders of the LGBTQ+ community through programs aimed at creating a safe space for them. Griot Circle is organizing a month-long fundraising campaign – Give OUT Day – culminating on June 30.

11. HealthRight International

HealthRight International is a global health and human rights organization that empowers marginalized communities to live healthy lives. HealthRight projects address health and social crises made worse by human rights violations, with a particular focus on four key populations: women and children, at-risk adolescents, migrants, and LGBTQI individuals. HealthRight leverages global resources to address local health challenges and create sustainable solutions.

12. The Rainbow Project

The Rainbow Project is committed to preventing HIV and STI transmission and addressing the physical, mental & emotional health needs of lesbian, gay, bisexual, and/or transgender people in Northern Ireland. They do this by providing several services facilitated under the direction of a volunteer-led Board of Trustees. 13. ELOP

ELOP is a holistic lesbian and gay center that offers a range of social, emotional, and support services to LGBT communities. Their core services include counseling and young people’s services, training, and consultancy for fellow professionals and those seeking to enhance their understanding of issues facing LGBT communities.

14. RSVP

RSVP believes everyone deserves a life free from sexual violence and abuse. They enable people who have been subjected to sexual violence and abuse to thrive and enjoy a future of hope and confidence. They work with women, children, and LGBT communities. Their confidential services are delivered with compassion, professionalism, and humanity.

15. Switchboard (Out & About), Victoria

Switchboard’s Out & About program is a free service for older lesbian, gay, bisexual, transgender, and/or intersex (LGBTI) people. They aim to reduce social isolation and loneliness by creating peer friendships and community connections.

16. Beyond Stigma, Dublin

​Beyond Stigma develops evidence-based programs to address feelings of worthlessness and shame among vulnerable populations, primarily in developing nations. They are an organization dedicated to addressing self-stigma and shame.

17. Queens Community House, New York

Queens Community House (QCH) is a multi-site, multi-service settlement house that serves the diverse neighborhoods of Queens. They serve residents of all ages, races, faiths, and ethnicities while supporting the viability of the borough as a whole.

18. Society of True Light, Hong Kong

Society of True Light is a Hong Kong-based nonprofit established on May 17, 2018. Its mission is to promote self-understanding in the HK LGBTQ+ community through action, research, education, social, monitoring, and publication. 

They provide research data and educational resources for LGBT+ individuals and allies, thereby advocating their belief - "Embrace Self, Embrace Diversity". They include LGBTQ+ Christians, youths, parents, and more groups seeking to explore LGBTQ+ identities. Their work includes local LGBTQ+ academic research (in collaboration with universities and guidance from The Trevor Project, USA), volunteer training, public education, and workshops for public and private sectors.

19. Trueself, China

Trueself,  in the past 14 years, has established chapters and groups in 80 cities in China and attracted nearly 10,000 volunteers to participate in LGBT public welfare. Through offline meetings, online activities, training, hotlines, and media, they have influenced more than 7 million people in China.
