Staying true to the values of humility and doing good, more than 120 Gooders got together with The Ugly Indian, an anonymous group of motivated volunteers, to beautify the flyovers of Bangalore. Gooders Spot-fixed the Nayandahalli Junction flyovers and gave it a makeover on 21st April and sent out a strong social message to keep our surroundings safe and clean.

We at Goodera realise that while, we are striving towards our goal of bringing technology to the Goodness ecosystem, constant reflection on our journey so far is very important. The Townhall hosted between the 20th and 21st of April brought the entire Goodera family together for two days of contemplation and reflection. Gooders also put up a talent show that was followed by our very own Goodera Awards!
We were joined by notable speakers like Sandeep Singhal, Siddharth Nautiyal, Bijou Kurien, Sameer Brij Verma, Alok Goel, Mayank Khanduja and Pratik Agarwal. They shared their valuable experiences and congratulated us on our journey so far!
We unveiled the fifth O-Week in the month of April. More than 10 sessions were organised over 4 action packed days. The sessions highlighted the work Goodera does and how we are making an impactful change in bringing technology to the goodness ecosystem. Our Founders Richa Bajpai and Abhishek Humbad hosted the first session to welcome the new joinees. Over the next four days, managers from different teams gave the new joinees a detailed understanding of all the work that is done at Goodera from an introduction to the concept of CSR and Sustainability to a deep dive into our technology platform.
Sustainatopia is one of the leading events in the world for social, financial and environmental sustainability & impact with participants from more than 60 countries. Goodera partnered with Sustainatopia for their annual event in San Francisco from 3rd-6th April. Abhishek Humbad along with Patsy Doerr from Thomson Reuters and Carolyn Wheeler from Caesars Entertainment engaged in a lively discussion on the plenary, ‘Engaging stakeholders in the evolving sustainability landscape’.
Goodera partnered with Ethical Corporation for the 6th Responsible Business Summit 2018, held in New York between 26-27th March, to drive conversations with CSR & sustainability leaders. Our Founder, Abhishek Humbad, engaged in a Fireside Chat with Gina Tesla, Vice President, Corporate Citizenship at IBM, on leveraging data and technology to advance corporate citizenship and competitiveness.
Madras Chamber organised the CSR Conference on Synergy for Maximising Social Impact on 2nd March 2018. Tushar Kalia, Senior Director at Goodera, presented the keynote on the, Evolving CSR Landscape and role of technology in measuring the impact of CSR programs.
Goodera was the proud knowledge partner for NASSCOM CSR Leadership Conference. We drove impactful discussions on the trends, challenges & way forward in CSR. Our founder and Co-CEO Richa Bajpai, hosted a Masterclass session for CSR Leaders, From Monitoring and Reporting to Measurement and Management of Impact, providing useful insights on how CSR and brand management can go hand-in-hand and how corporates can carve out impactful CSR projects that resonate with the business objectives.
Goodera was awarded the prestigious, Startup of the Decade award, by the Wadhwani Foundation and National Entrepreneurship Network (NEN) at the E Week 2018 grand finale and awards ceremony on 24th February 2018 in New Delhi. The award was presented by Dr. Romesh Wadhwani in the presence of distinguished leaders like Amitabh Kant, CEO, Niti Aayog; Prof. Ramgopal Rao, Director IIT Delhi; GV Ravishankar, MD, Sequoia capital; Sanjeev Bikhchandani, Co-founder, naukri.com; Kunal Upadhyay, CEO, CIIE (IIMA) and Lakshmi Pratury, Founder & CEO, Ink Talks.
Gooders came together for the first, Goodera Hackathon 1.0, with the message, Lets Code for Good! The goal was to build innovative solutions to common problems around CSR and Sustainability. The 24-hr challenge began on 16th of February and the winning team walked away with a cash prize.
Greenbiz brings leaders in business and sustainability from the biggest companies, technology start-ups and cities across the globe. The goal is to advance the idea of sustainable practices in businesses by utilising technology. Goodera had the privilege to be a part of GreenBiz 18, as the Premier partner for the event.
Goodera hosted a panel discussion on ‘Leveraging data and technology to advance corporate citizenship and competitiveness’, with an eminent panel including, Kathy Pickus DVP sustainability at Abbott; Yuan Yuan, Head of Regional Hub: China & SE Asia, GRI Secretariat; Cynthia Curtis SVP Global Sustainability at JLL; Suzanne Fallender Director Corporate Responsibility Intel. The discussion was moderated by Abhishek Humbad. Richa Bajpai also discussed Goodera’s work at GreenBiz18 Sidebar.
Goodera was the Employee volunteering partner for Total Rewards and Wellness Conclave 2018 hosted by People Matters. Abhishek Humbad led a panel discussion on, Employee engagement under spotlight: How can organisations champion employee engagement for multi- generational workforce? The discussion focused on how corporates are reimagining employee engagement and building organizations with a sense of purpose.
The Strategic CSR and Sustainability Summit 2017 saw participation from Goodera as the partner for the event. Tushar Kalia, Senior Director, Goodera, led a panel discussion on, Measuring Effectiveness of CSR Programmes: Maximizing the impact of your projects on both your organisation and the communities you serve.
Goodera was the CSR Technology partner for the 1st Sustainable Development Goals Summit held on 8th December 2017. The event was organised by the UN Global Compact Network India. Our Founder and Co-CEO Richa Bajpai spoke at the panel discussion on, Leveraging CSR for achieving SDGs: The way forward.
CHRO 2020 leadership conference was organised by People matters on 8th December 2017. Goodera was the Employee volunteering partner for the event. Our Founder and Co-CEO Abhishek Humbad spoke at the roundtable discussion on, Reimagining engagement. The discussion focused on how corporates can integrate volunteering into the ethos of their organizations and build organizations with a sense of purpose.
Goodera organised the first-of-its-kind celebration of International Volunteer Day in India. Goodera and leading corporates like Ericsson, Cargill, Genpact, Marks & Spencer, Intuit, PayPal, Lenovo and IEX among others successfully kick-started the celebration. The day witnessed corporate leaders engaging with each other to make a positive difference in the lives of children from Smile Foundation across Mumbai, Bangalore, and Delhi.
The Conference theme revolved around, Energising the CSR ecosystem with Human-Centred Innovation. The event saw the release of the Goodera-NASSCOM study, Catalysing Change: Study of CSR Trends in the IT-BPM Sector: 2016-17, the report examines the trends, challenges and innovations in the CSR space with a special focus on volunteering and alignment to global goals.

Goodera partnered with Ethical corporation for Responsible Business Summit West on 14-15th November 2017. Our Founders and Co-CEOs, Richa Bajpai and Abhishek Humbad hosted a roundtable discussion, ‘From first mile to last mile: Grant management to impact intelligence’ and drove discussions on how technology is being used for impact intelligence.
The CSR Committee of the American Chamber of Commerce in India organized a roundtable with USAID and WaterHealth. Tushar Kalia, Senior Director, Goodera, shared an analysis of CSR trends for 2016-17. Ms. Ranjana Khanna, Director General CEO, AMCHAM was in attendance as well.
The fourth edition of O-Week concluded in March. The week was filled with various activities ranging from informative and motivating sessions by managers of various teams at Goodera. External speakers from Swami Vivekanand Youth Movement and Sankara Eye Foundation interacted with Gooders as well. The facilitators explained how our technology platform has made their work efficient. The O- Week ended with volunteering activity at Smile Foundation where Gooders helped the children with various fun-filled activities!.
India CSR Summit & Exhibition, hosted by NGOBOX, is an annual event organised since 2014, bringing together over 3000 organizations and 5000+ delegates from businesses, CSR foundations, government organizations, the UN agencies, social businesses and advisory firms. Goodera hosted a Masterclass on, CSR engagement: Planning, executing, impact measurement and reporting.
Goodera also hosted a micro session on employee volunteering and a CSR panel on technology for better impacts with TATA, Vodafone and NASSCOM Foundation. NASSCOM Foundation hosted the CSR City form in Mumbai on 3rd August 2017. Our Founder and Co-CEO Richa Bajpai, hosted a session on best social impact measurement practices and how technology is being used for measurement of social impact.
Since the rebrand, we at Goodera welcomed many new Gooders into our family. Our new members with diverse work experiences joined us from different locations across India. Bringing them together to familiarise them with our platform thus became very important. Gooders came together for the third orientation week that was hosted at the Goodera Bangalore office in July.
The sessions were designed with special focus on CSR and how the law has been amended since it was passed. Each session had a special focus area. The speakers who are managing the teams at Goodera explained how each focus area contributed to making our platform as efficient as possible. Each session was followed by an activity that involved application of the skills learned to design a creative project. There was also a special session by the Smile Foundation and The Water Health Centre on how our platform is helping them expand their reach. The week ended with a volunteering activity that was thoroughly enjoyed by the Gooders who helped The Akshaya Patra Foundation with the distribution of mid-day meals amongst kids of a local school and later they took art classes with the kids.
Three years after our launch, we felt that it was necessary to have a brand that reflects our aspirations and provides us a unique identity. Hence, we rebranded ourselves to Goodera, which also marks the beginning of a new era of doing good! The internal launch event saw the coming together of all offices to celebrate our fresh new journey in the world of doing good. The event had a brief session by our founders Richa Bajpai and Abhishek Humbad on why we rebranded and how we are powering the world of good.

With the successful organisation of the first O-Week, we unveiled the second O-Week in the month of May. This time we organised the sessions on a much bigger scale. The managers across gave the new members a detailed understanding of all the work that is done at Goodera.
Our founders Richa Bajpai and Abhishek Humbad hosted the first session to welcome the new joinees. The sessions organised over the week ranged from introduction of the concept of CSR and Sustainability to a deep dive into our technology platform. We were delighted to have Chulendra DeSilva, External Advisor to Goodera in Sri Lanka and Executive Vice President, Head of Corporate Center at MTD Walkers PLC, deliver a talk on Sustainability and the usage of technology. The week ended with a special volunteering event organised by our NGO partners Samarthanam and the Parikrama Foundation where we helped to organise various fun activities for children.
The orientation week or O-Week is a one-stop induction module to groom new joinees understand the nuances of working in the sector and to keep them updated with all the work going across different functions and geographies.
The first O-Week concluded in March was a huge success. The week was filled with activities ranging from informative and motivating sessions by external speakers from Trrain and AIFT. The facilitators took the new joinees through their journey with Goodera and how our technology platform has made their work efficient.
There were a total of 14 sessions that were conducted over a period of 6 days. The O- Week ended with an interesting volunteering activity at Samarthanam where we helped the children with various fun-filled activities!
